Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the wedding video services provided by The April Frames Limited (“The April Frames”) having its registered office at 220 Townhill Road, Dunfermline, Fife, KY12 0DG to you, the Client.

2. These Terms and Conditions should be read in conjunction with your booking confirmation email.

 

2. Booking and Payment

1. A non-refundable Deposit of £300 is required to secure your booking.

2. The Remaining Balance is due no later than 14 calendar days before the Wedding Date.

3. Payments can be made via bank transfer or other methods agreed upon in writing.

 

3. Cancellation Policy

1. If the Client cancels more than 60 calendar days before the Wedding Date, only the deposit will be retained.

2. Cancellations within 60 calendar days of the Wedding Date will be charged 25%. of the Total Cost.

3. Cancellations within 14 calendar days of the Wedding Date will be charged 50%.

 

4. Filming and Creative Direction

1. The April Frames will use its professional judgment to film and edit the wedding video.

2. While client preferences will be considered, artistic discretion remains with The April Frames.

3. We are not responsible for missed moments due to interference, restrictions at the venue, or late arrivals.

 

5. Delivery

1. Final videos will be delivered digitally within 12-14 or 14-18 weeks of the Wedding Date.

2. Delivery timelines may vary during peak seasons, but clients will be kept informed of any delays.

 

6. Copyright and Usage

1. The April Frames retains full copyright over the filmed and edited material.

2. Clients are granted a personal, non-commercial licence to use and share the final videos.

3. The April Frames reserves the right to use video clips for promotional purposes unless the Client requests otherwise in writing.

7. Liability

1. The April Frames will take all reasonable care in providing services, but it is not liable for circumstances beyond its control (e.g. illness, equipment failure, weather, venue restrictions).

2. In such cases, liability is limited to a full refund or re-shoot where possible.

 

8. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform its obligations if such failure results from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemics, or extreme weather.

 

9. Filming of Children

1. By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, the Client confirms that appropriate consent has been obtained from parents or guardians for the filming of any children present at the event.

2. The April Frames Limited accepts no liability for filming children where proper permissions have not been secured by the Client.

3. Reference to “children” relates to those under the age of 16 years of age as at the Wedding Date.

 

10. Videographer Meals

For full-day bookings (over 6 hours), the Client agrees to provide a hot meal and non-alcoholic drink for the videographer(s) during the reception or appropriate break. This ensures the team remains on-site and fully energised to capture all key moments.

 

11. Governing Law

1. These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.

2. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
